A healthy diet
Eating a healthy diet is utmost important when it’s about your eyes. Cover up for sun exposure
Harsh UV rays are not only good for your skin but your eyes as well. Too much UV exposure increases your risk for macular degeneration and cataracts. Always wear the right type of sunglasses and cover your head with a scarf before you go out. Avoid having exposure to sun rays.
As we all know that smoking causes many health complications. Smoking can increase your chances of developing cataracts, optic nerve damage, and macular degeneration. Think twice before you puff a cigarette. Before it’s too late quit smoking.
Eye protection from computer screen
It’s highly concerning that many people these days are complaining about computer related vision problems and it’s a high time that you should start taking prevention to avoid having frequent eye related issues. Many people often complain about eyestrain, blurry vision, dry eyes, headache, and neck, back and shoulder ache. To relieve such symptoms follow these tips:
- Make sure that your computer and your seating is properly leveled. Your computer screen should allow you to look slightly down at the screen.
- Always wear up-to-date glasses or you may opt for specially designed computer glasses.
- When working on the computers you tend to blink less which can cause dry eyes. So blink more often to avoid having dry eyes.
- Every 20 minutes allow your eyes to take some rest. Look away from the screen 20 feet away for few seconds. Every two hours you should take a 15-minute break to soothe your eyes.

Regular eye checkup is very important to detect any early signs of eye diseases such as glaucoma as it does not show any early signs and hence, you should visit your eye doctor regularly to diagnose eye problems.
